• Ask questions about your documents
• Receive AI-generated answers powered by OpenAI's GPT models
• Export chat history and annotations (Pro plan)
• Search through chat history (Pro plan)

3. Account Registration

To use our Service, you must:

• Be at least 13 years of age
• Provide accurate and complete registration information
• Maintain the security of your account credentials
• Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use

4. Subscription Plans

Free Plan

• 3 PDF uploads
• 10 questions per PDF
• Basic AI
• 10MB file size limit

Pro Plan ($19.99/month or $167.99/year)

• Unlimited PDF uploads
• Unlimited questions
• Advanced AI
• 50MB file size limit
• Export chat history
• Chat history search
• Custom AI instructions
• PDF annotations

Subscription fees are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis and are non-refundable except as required by law.

5. Payment Terms

• All payments are processed securely through Stripe
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled
• You can cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings
• Upon cancellation, you retain access until the end of your billing period
• No refunds for partial months or unused services
• We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice

6. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree NOT to:

• Upload illegal, harmful, or copyrighted content without authorization
• Use the Service to violate any laws or regulations
• Attempt to reverse engineer or compromise our systems
• Share your account credentials with others
• Use automated tools to scrape or abuse the Service
• Upload malware, viruses, or malicious code
• Impersonate others or provide false information
• Use the Service for spam or unsolicited marketing

7. Intellectual Property

Your Content: You retain all rights to documents you upload. By uploading content, you grant us a license to process, store, and display your content solely to provide the Service.

Our Service: Talk to Your PDF, including its software, design, and AI models, is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or redistribute our Service.

AI-Generated Content: Responses generated by our AI are provided "as-is" and may not be accurate. You are responsible for verifying any information before use.

8. Content Ownership and Usage

We use OpenAI's API to process your documents. OpenAI does not use data submitted via their API to train their models (as of their current policy). However, we recommend reviewing OpenAI's Terms of Use.

Do not upload sensitive, confidential, or proprietary information that you are not authorized to share.

9. Service Availability

We strive to provide reliable service but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or technical issues. We are not liable for any disruptions.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PDF.AI SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:

• Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
• Loss of profits, data, or business opportunities
• Inaccurate AI-generated responses
• Unauthorized access to your account
• Third-party services (OpenAI, Stripe, AWS)

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the past 12 months.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE ERROR-FREE, SECURE, OR UNINTERRUPTED.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold PDF.ai harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from:

• Your use of the Service
• Violation of these Terms
• Violation of any third-party rights
• Content you upload

13. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at our discretion if you:

• Violate these Terms
• Engage in fraudulent activity
• Fail to pay subscription fees
• Abuse or misuse the Service

You may cancel your account at any time from your account settings. Upon termination, your data will be deleted within 30 days, except as required by law.

14. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

15. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes via email or through the Service. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
